FAQs

How long will I be in therapy?

The length of your therapy experience will depend on your goals and needs. For clients entering therapy with the hope of resolving a specific concern or issue, we align with you and will work toward getting you to the point of resolution and to complete treatment. For clients who know that having weekly therapy allows them to stay steady and continue personal growth, we offer long term treatment with check in to ensure we remain in sync with what is most helpful to you.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment without fee with more than 24 hour notice prior to your appointment time. Should you cancel within 24 hours, you will be charged the full cost of your therapy session.

Can you tell me about confidentiality?

We are conservative regarding your privacy as a fundamental tenet of our work. This means that if a friend, partner, parent or care provider calls with questions about you or your treatment, we will not confirm or deny we have a relationship with you. If you would like us to communicate with one of your supports, we will have you complete a form called a Release of Information outlining what we plan to share with your permission.

Do you offer Telehealth?

Yes! We offer telehealth via a HIPAA compliant platform called Simple Practice, and we can be flexible. As we also offer in person work, we leave it to clients to let us know how and where they would like to meet.

Some clients have treatment needs that require in person work. In those scenarios we communicate openly regarding our clinical planning.

We do ask that if you are Covid 19 positive, or experiencing symptoms of Covid 19 - that you use telehealth services until you have two negative tests 24 hours apart.

Do you prescribe or manage medications?

No, we do not prescribe or manage psychotropic medication. However, some clients come to the conclusion that medication would be helpful to them. In this situation, we will refer you to a psychiatrist that accepts your insurance plan or meets criteria you’ve established for yourself regarding treatment providers you would be comfortable working with. We are happy to consult with your psychiatrist or wider treatment team as needed.
